Recently, Mr. Ziyad J. Tariq, student of the University of Traditional Medicine who also serves as the president of the Students’ Scientific Society of UTMA, participated in the Republican Scientific-Practical International Conference “Oxygen and Free Radicals”, which took place in the city of Grodno, Republic of Belarus, in a hybrid format. This means that, in the framework of the Conference, the lectures and presentations were made both in offline and online formats. During the Conference, Z.J.Tariq made a scientific report, where he presented the results of his research work in the field of gynaecological science. The presentation was made in an online format, with subsequent publication of the article in the Conference Proceedings. The article, which was titled “The Possible Role of Inflammation and Oxidative Stress in Development of Premenstrual Syndrome Symptoms: a Review” presents a substantial scientific interest, as these possible influences are not fully described and are often underestimated in contemporary science. Hence, in the framework of this research work, an attempt was made to shed light on the possible correlations between premenstrual syndrome, oxidative stress and inflammation, as well as to seek a consensus between the diverging and overwhelming data present in the literature. The work was carried out under the supervision of the Department of Science UTMA.
