Dr. Tatyana Strekalova is an internationally recognized neuroscientist specializing in neuropharmacology and the mechanisms of affective and neurodegenerative disorders, including depression and PTSD. She currently holds positions at the University of Oxford and Neuroplast BV in the Netherlands.

She obtained her MD and PhD from Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy and has held research positions at leading European institutions, including Maastricht University and the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim.

Dr. Strekalova’s research focuses on animal models of brain disorders, serotonergic dysfunction, stress-related pathology, and novel therapeutic approaches. She has published over 140 peer-reviewed papers, with an h-index of 44 and more than 6,500 citations, and has been actively involved in major international research projects.
