Involvement of UTMA students in scientific projects and initiatives constitutes one of the important goals of the University

Involvement of UTMA students in scientific projects and initiatives constitutes one of the important goals of the University, which is pursued in a consistent fashion.

On October 7-10, the Annual Conference of the Biomedical Imaging Organization for South East Europe (BIO-SEE) was held at L.A.Orbeli Institute of Physiology (OIPH), Yerevan, Armenia. This international conference took place under the title of Modern Methods of Biovisualization in Physiology and Medicine. Students of the Faculty of General Medicine of UTMA actively participated in the conference, which provided them with important theoretical-practical knowledge regarding a wide scope of imaging techniques utilized in medicine and biomedical science. In the framework of the conference, an international competition for scientific posters took place, in which a poster was prepared by researchers from Foldink Laboratory, Orbeli Institute and University of Traditional Medicine. During the event, the poster was presented to the referees by co-authors of the poster, Dr. Vahan Grigoryan - head of the UTMA Department of Science and Ms. Rohini Zadbuke - 5th year student of the UTMA Faculty of General Medicine. The poster presentation sparked substantial scientific interest and was awarded 2nd place in the Best Poster Competition.
