An intra-university chess tournament was held at the University of Traditional Medicine 2023

On the initiative of the Student Council of UTMA and with the support of the Yerevan Avan Chess Sports School, an intra-university chess tournament was held at the University of Traditional Medicine on the 14th of October, in which 24 Armenian and foreign students of the university participated.

The tournament took place in an interesting and intense atmosphere, as a result of which the best chess players of the University were recognized:

1st place: Erfan Aghaei /Faculty of Dentistry, 4th year/

2nd place: Kabilan Manivel /Faculty of General Medicine, 2nd year/,

3rd place: Yazan Bilal Abbass Alkhatib /Faculty of Dentistry, 3rd year/.

Davit Hunanyan, who is the director of Avan Children and Youth Chess School, member of the Yerevan Chess Federation, FIDE master of sports of chess, gave medals, certificates and gifts to the students who took the 3 best places in the chess tournament.

Davit Hunanyan congratulated the winners, wishing them new victories in the upcoming interuniversity tournaments.

The tournament was held in accordance with international standards: competitors were selected by a special computer program (www.chess-results.com), which could be followed by parents and relatives of students from different corners of the world.
