30th anniversary of the University of Traditional Medicine

The jubilee event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the University of Traditional Medicine took place on December 19. Among presents there were a number of representatives of the education sphere, including the Head of Research center at the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh.Abovyan Professor of Psycology/Chair of Applied Psychology, former Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry of UTM Kamo Vardanyan; The founder of Campus International center, Director Ashok Karuvarathodi;  Rector of Yerevan Gladzor University, Doctor of Laws, Professor Zhora D.Jhangiryan; Director of the National Information Center for Academic Recognition and Mobility Gayane Harutyunyan; Rector of YSU Ijevan Branch Anushavan Makaryan, a number of diplomats, administrative-teaching staff, students and others.

At the beginning of the event, the presents and guests paid their respect to the memory of our compatriots who died during the 44-day war.

In her welcoming speech, the Dean of UTM, Anahit Karapetyan, congratulated the Founder-Rector of the University, Mr. Saribekyan, the entire staff, lecturers and students of the University, and presented the fruitful path of the University.

The Dean stated: “It is known that the individual is formed during the student years, the main goal of our university is to train doctors who will be able to show complete readiness, self-sacrifice, infinite kindness, qualities that are the guarantee of the patient's recovery”.

Touching upon the role of education, the Dean Karapetyan stressed the need and condition to face the global challenges that are changing day by day with modern, stable and rich knowledge.

During the party, vice-rectors, the best heads of different departments, as well as a number of university employees were awarded for their long, honest and impeccable work.

The best students and the most outstanding students of UTM’s Student Scientific Society were also awarded.

The event was enriched and more colorful by the recitations and cultural performances of students of different nationalities.
